Riverview Bark, founded by Alex Kim (CPDT-KA® & AKC CGC Evaluator), started in Jersey City with one main goal in mind: to educate people on how to create a positive relationship between humans and dogs. After handling multiple dogs and having a passion for canines, we set out our mission to help others achieve the same companionship that we’ve experienced over the years.

Alex has owned and trained multiple dogs throughout his life. However, when Jodie came into the picture (his little Blue English Staffy), he decided to fully invest his knowledge and passion for dogs into helping others. With the skills he’s developed over the years, he focuses on communication, patience, and most importantly… staying cool. He emphasizes that it’s imperative for humans to know how to communicate and advocate for their dogs in order to keep them safe and coexist peacefully throughout their lives.

Living in all different areas of North Jersey to Harlem to Queens, Alex has worked with many people of different backgrounds and dogs whether it was in the busy streets of the city or the quiet neighborhoods in the suburbs. Now settled in Jersey City, he has brought his knowledge of the fundamentals in dog psychology and behavior to help the friendly folks in the neighborhood.
