Join us for Sunday Social, a group session, where your dog can boost their social skills and obedience in real-life scenarios.

This class is for dogs who already know their basics and have little to no reactivity or aggression. We’ll work on refining obedience, handling distractions with confidence, and making everyday outings more enjoyable and stress-free.

    • Improve your dog’s ability to focus on and respond to you in changing environments.

    • Build confidence in social interactions and exposure to new stimuli.

    • Strengthen obedience, leash manners, and engagement in real-world settings.

    • Engagement and obedience in distracting situations.

    • Proper greetings with people and other dogs.

    • Leash manners in busy environments.

    • Exposure to different surfaces, sounds, and surroundings.

    • Building confidence in new social settings.

    • Teaching settling and impulse control in stimulating environments.

Please note, this class is for dogs and owners who have completed a foundational training program with Riverview Bark and want to continue developing social skills, confidence, and reliability in everyday situations. To ensure there are no interruptions and that all dogs benefit from the experience, please advise that if we determine your dog is not ready for a socialization class, we may need to ask you to switch to a different program better suited to their current needs. Our goal is to provide the best training experience for your dog, and we’ll offer alternative options to support their progress.

BENEFITS

  • Confidence Building

Exposure to new environments, people, animals, and experiences builds your dog’s confidence. This helps them become less likely to develop fear or anxiety-based behaviors.

  • Behavioral Development

Allows dogs to learn appropriate manners and helps prevent behavior issues.

  • Reduced Fear, Aggression and Anxiety

Proper socialization reduces the likelihood of fear-based aggression and anxiety in dogs. Dogs will be less likely to react aggressively out of fear and are more confident in different environments.

  • Communication Skills

Socialization teaches dogs how to communicate with other dogs and people. They (and we!) learn how to read body language, understand signals, and respond appropriately.

  • Stronger Bond

Socialization experiences build a positive association with their owners. Dogs learn to trust and rely on their owners for guidance and security.

  • Positive Experiences

Dogs that are well-socialized have more positive experiences, making them more resilient to handle stressful situations and changes in their environment.

  • Stronger Obedience

Dogs learn to respond appropriately to various distractions and environments, reinforcing their focus and respect for commands in real-world situations.
